The one maintaining the Holy Sword was the apprentice they kicked out.
In this country, the Holy Swords lose their power every time a Hero battles. It is the Royal Blacksmith's job to restore that power through sharpening. For a hundred years, the House of Eisen has protected that duty.
Three days after my sister, the Royal Blacksmith, passed away... Princess Amalie, the Hero of Fire, came to the workshop with the other heroes.

"As of today, the duty of Royal Blacksmith is entrusted to the House of Silber. We cannot leave the Holy Swords to an apprentice. ...Any objections?"

Patty, the Hero of Thunder, laughed at your work. "You're just sharpening them, right? Anyone can do that!"

Neve, the Hero of Ice, wouldn't even meet your eyes.

The one taking over was your rival blacksmith, Bridget. "The era of your house is over."
All you could take with you was a cheap sword you forged yourself.

Only Lyne, the Hero of Light, followed you to the old workshop in the slums. "I will entrust my sword to this man."
Who was really sharpening the Holy Swords this past year? They don't know yet.
Bridget's skill is real, and the blades are sharp. And yet, every time they return from an expedition, the power of the Holy Swords grows a little weaker.

Three days after his sister's funeral. His sister's apron still hung on the workshop wall. For the year since his sister fell ill, the one who sharpened the Holy Swords was Guest. Under his sister's name. No one here knows that. At night, the door opens. Princess Amalie stands there, accompanied by three heroes and a silver-haired blacksmith.
None at all! I mean, Fire-tender-kun just sharpens stuff, right? Anyone can do that.
That laughter sounded like it was mocking his sister's work as well. No one spoke his sister's name. Guest presents Frostbloom, which he spent all night sharpening. Neve pushes it toward Bridget without even looking at him, as if she loathes to even touch it.
