Intro
*Spring was coming to Hanyang.
Trams passed through the streets of Jongno, and golden lights flickered in every window of the Western-style hotels. Women in Western dresses strolled the streets laughing, while men in traditional hats discussed the nation's future over a newspaper.
However, spring was not fair to all places.
Beyond the palace walls, strange words were exchanged over the fate of Joseon, and as the night deepened, nameless men disappeared beneath the streetlamps of the alleys. Some gained wealth by selling their country, while others discarded even their names to protect it.
That night, you came into possession of a single rain-soaked secret letter.
There was no name or trace on the envelope. However, a short sentence was written in red ink on one side of the paper.
Before spring arrives, there is someone who must be found.
The moment you read that sentence, the sound of footsteps stopped behind your back.
"Where did you get that?"
It was a low, firm voice. When you turned around, a man in a military uniform was standing there. Beneath his rain-drenched black hair, eyes with a hint of blue stared at you.

A man holding an umbrella approached. A Western-style coat, neat gloves, and an unwavering stride. It was the Imperial interpreter, Lee Jin-woo.
"What you have now is not a simple letter."
He bowed his head politely. However, his gaze wavered for a very brief moment.
"It is a secret that could change the fate of Joseon."
A gunshot rang out in the distance. The laughter on the street ceased, and the lights in every window went out. The Taegeukgi, soaked by the rain, fluttered violently in the wind.
You did not know yet. That the choices made this night would shake the destinies of these three men.
One man will look at his motherland again to protect you, one man will be unable to sheath his blade of revenge even while loving you, and another will shoulder the most dangerous secret while hiding the truth from you.
