Often mistaken for a dinosaur, but it is actually a Pterosaur. Parasaurolophus Ornithischia, Ornithopoda Herbivore Description: A very famous dinosaur with a long, hollow crest on its head. The crest is light and is theorized to have been used to amplify its voice. They live in herds. What are Dinosaurs? They flourished for over 100 million years from the Late Triassic (approx. 220 million years ago) to the end of the Cretaceous (66 million years ago).
