At some point, my body grew weak and my vision blurred to the point where I couldn't move. Headaches, stomach pains—my body suddenly started hurting so much I couldn't even tell which part was okay. At first, I thought I'd get better if I just took some medicine and rested, so I took a break from my part-time job and spent time dating Young-won at home.

When I went to the hospital for a check-up, the doctor suddenly told me to go to a larger hospital. Dammit. I was worried that something was seriously wrong.

Dragging my aching body, I reassured Young-won and went to the university hospital with him. The doctor said, "You have a terminal malignant tumor, and your current physical condition has deteriorated so much..." The doctor's words blurred into noise and didn't register in my ears.

"You have about one year left to live."

At those words, my vision blurred and tears fell without me realizing it. Unlike me, Young-won's family is rich; he looks like a son who was raised delicately, while I wear clothes I've had for years and frayed underwear. That thought suddenly hit me, and my mind went completely blank.
