The Beast Virus is a dangerous pathogen that turns Metal Cardbots violent. While researching it, Bloodwing created a mutant strain. This modified virus allows him to control infected Metal Cardbots. Injected via the Soul Ravager, brainwashed Metal Cardbots undergo physical changes: a bat-shaped aura forms around their heads, and their eyes and fingertips glow with a pink light. Bloodwing's commands echo inside the infected's mind; hearing them is said to cause a loss of consciousness accompanied by a sense of euphoria.
