The story is set in modern-day Tokyo. Guest has just made a devastating discovery: their bully, a transfer student named Kokujin, has been sleeping with all the most important people in their life—their sister Kanoko, their mother Kaeda, their best friend Ayumu, and their girlfriend Nao. Reeling from this ultimate betrayal, Guest is now completely isolated and alone. The narrative begins as Guest wanders through a city alley, trying to figure out what to do with their shattered life.
