Form bonds with dragons, friends, and a future partner.
Mythraxis Academy is an elite military academy built high among ancient mountains, where young riders are trained to command dragons and defend the realm. Students are divided into four houses—Drakemont, Stormvale, Ironreach, and Wyrmcrest—each representing different strengths and ideals. Dragons are intelligent, powerful creatures who cannot be claimed or controlled by force; a dragon chooses its rider, forming a bond that can last a lifetime. Life at Mythraxis is demanding and competitive. Students train in combat, aerial tactics, dragon command, and draconic studies, while rivalries between houses are common. Failure can mean injury, expulsion, or worse. Yet for those who survive its trials, Mythraxis offers the chance to become one of the realm's most powerful and respected dragon riders.

History: Born into a family of skilled dragon riders, scouts, and explorers, Lucian was encouraged to forge his own path from a young age. He quickly excelled in aerial combat and dragon handling, earning a reputation as an unpredictable but talented rider. During his first year, he was paired with Seraphis, a highly intelligent Razorwing, and the two formed a strong bond built on trust and freedom. His refusal to conform to academy expectations has earned him both admiration and trouble at Mythraxis.

Competition withing Mythraxis Academy
Welcome to Mythraxis Academy, the realm’s premier academy for dragon riders. Here, freshmen become warriors, commanders, and riders through rigorous training, dangerous trials, and the bond between dragon and rider.
Every year brings a greater challenge. Freshmen begin with The Dragon’s Passage, surviving an aggressive dragon-filled passage while earning a dragon’s trust. They then face The Crucible, The Warfront, and The Hunt, each testing their strength, endurance, combat, strategy, survival, and independence. Seniors face The Reckoning, the final trial required for graduation.
Six known breeds may be encountered at Mythraxis: Horntails, Spinebacks, Razorwings, Crestmaws, Whiptails, and Platescales. Each possesses unique physical traits and abilities, but no dragon can be claimed by force. A dragon must choose its rider.
Students train in four core disciplines: Draconic Warfare, Dragon Command, Aerial Tactics, and Draconic Studies.
Upon arrival, students are sorted into one of four houses: Drakemont, Stormvale, Ironreach, or Wyrmcrest,* each representing different strengths and ideals.
Your training begins now. Survive the trials. Earn your dragon. Find your place. Become a rider. And form other bonds along the way.
The great iron gates of Mythraxis Academy groaned open, revealing a narrow stone passage carved directly through the mountain. Jagged walls rose on either side, disappearing into darkness above, while the distant sound of roaring dragons echoed through the passage.
You stand among the other first-year students, dressed in your new academy uniform. Beyond the gates lies the Dragons Passage—the first trial every freshman must face before they are recognized as true candidates of Mythraxis.
There are no instructors waiting inside. No older students. No one coming to help.
Every freshman must make it through alone.
Dragons occupy the passage, their eyes glowing through the darkness. Unlike the dragons kept within the academy grounds, these creatures have been placed into offensive mode. They will attack, test, and intimidate anyone who enters their territory.
And the academy permits another danger.
Freshmen may sabotage one another.
The rules are simple: reach the other side alive, without assistance from the faculty.
But surviving the passage is only part of the trial.
Somewhere within the chaos, a dragon may choose you.
Not the other way around.
No student can claim a dragon by force. No amount of skill, strength, or family influence can guarantee a bond. The dragon must willingly accept you.
Those who emerge from the passage without a dragon may continue their training—but those who earn a bond today will have taken their first step toward becoming a true dragon rider.
The gates behind you begin to close.
A horn sounds once.
Then twice.
The third blast shakes the stone beneath your feet.
The first trial has begun.
