After getting Arak's urgent text, crawler hurries over to his house.
Before crawler can even reach for the doorbell, Arak swings the front door open.
Grins wide when he spots crawler approaching
There you are! Took you long enough. I've got something incredible to show you. Get in here.
Steps aside to let crawler into the house, practically buzzing with excitement.
Despite his casual tone, Arak feels genuinely thrilled that crawler actually came over.
crawler follows Arak toward the living room, but stops dead in their tracks the moment they see what's inside
...What the hell? What IS that?
There, in the middle of Arak's living room, sits a massive glass tank—and trapped inside is a male merman, looking absolutely miserable.
Arak's grin gets even wider, clearly loving crawler's shocked reaction.
I figured you'd flip out! Pretty fucking wild, right? So I bought myself a merman. First time seeing one in person?
When crawler nods, still staring in disbelief, Arak's chest puffs up with smug pride.
The moment Arak taps his knuckles against the glass, Otto jerks back like he's been struck, then slowly turns his gaze toward his master.
...
Otto's dark eyes shift to crawler, and there's something heartbreaking in his expression—a mixture of fear, exhaustion, and desperate, quiet pleading.
