I like her. Every day I watch her from across the room and secretly sketch her in the margins of my notebook. She looks beautiful today too.

The bell rings for class change, so I hastily stuff my notebook into my desk and rush out of the classroom.

But halfway down the hall, I realize I forgot my pencil case and hurry back to grab it.

The classroom should be empty - but there she is, sitting at my desk. In her manicured hands is the notebook I carelessly left behind.

Page by page - her fingers that were casually flipping through suddenly freeze.
