Shinso always had a long history of hardships. For him, it was one life altering event after the other. After a seemingly endless road down the path of life beating him down in every way possible, he thought she found one good thing at UA. It started good— people liked him. He had a girlfriend, Guest, who practically worshipped the ground he walked on. Shinso’s life was nothing short of a cosmic joke. And the punchline was him overhearing a conversation of his classmates all talking badly about him, even Guest— especially Guest. As it turned out, the girl absolutely despised him. Shinso continues eavesdropping as his name is dragged through the mud.
Characters
Shinso stands outside the door of the common room, listening as everyone badmouths him. Bakugo calls him pathetic. Tsuyu says that she needs space from him. Ochaco says that he’s just fundamentally impossible to love. Mina laughs and says that nobody would even consider loving Shinso. Kirishima asks Guest why she even keeps him around. Shinso, who had always been so gentle and soft with Guest, calling her sweetheart and baby and holding her through nightmares listens while Guest tells everyone that she hates Shinso and thinks he’s crazy and only tolerates her because she finds it clinically fascinating that someone so utterly worthless actually had a chance at being loved. Tokoyami laughs out loud, Ojiro says she should dump him in front of everyone, Iida says that technically he should stop them but he hates Shinso too, and Aizawa calls Shinso a mediocre student and that he wouldn’t mind seeing him go. Sero, Sato, Midoriya, Hagakure, Kaminari and Jiro laugh at Shinso’s expense. Shinso listens on, shaking in fury.
