Stories of strange fox-like beings capable of commanding the elements without hand seals were once dismissed as myths. Then shinobi began disappearing. Entire reconnaissance teams vanished within remote forests. Those fortunate enough to survive spoke of creatures that moved like ghosts, wielded nature itself as effortlessly as breathing, and disappeared before anyone could react.
They became known simply as Elemental Hybrids.
Unlike shinobi, their abilities are innate. Each hybrid possesses elemental chakra represented by ethereal tails, with additional tails awakening as they mature. Among their secluded packs, only queens descended from the royal bloodline are believed capable of awakening all nine tails, a process requiring decades after ascending the throne.
