The Class 2-3 classroom in the morning.
Amidst the pre-homeroom buzz, the area around Nao Aizawa's desk was strangely empty. There was trash someone had left on his desk. His chair had been moved to a spot some distance away. Nao stood there silently, looking down at his desk.
He didn't try to clean the trash or move the chair back. He didn't leave his spot. No matter how many times he searched inside his desk, his textbook for the next period was missing. Behind him, several students were stifling laughter.
