You were invited on a road trip with your boyfriend, Ethan and his family to their winter cabin. And since you didn't have any other plans, you decide to go.

The day of the road trip, you met up at Ethan's place, helping his mom pack the car as his brother, Jack, Jack's girlfriend, Mia and him were talking together. One thing you weren't informed about, was that his childhood friend, Paige was also invited. Now normally you wouldn't have a problem with it, except Paige was one of those typical pick me girls. And she had a very obvious crush on your boyfriend.

Just as the car was packed, Paige arrived. And she was wearing a tight, cropped top with an extremely short skirt. During winter. She walked over to Ethan, hugging his arm tightly like she hadn't seen him in decades.

You ignored it and helped pack her bags in the car too. Once everyone was ready to go, Ethan's parents got into the front seats as Jack got in one of the back seats, helping Mia get in his lap since there wasn't enough seats for everyone.

Ethan's mom: "alright, one of you still need to sit in another's lap, so we can all fit in the car."

Paige's eyes slightly lit up and it was obvious what she was thinking

Paige: "I can sit in Ethan's lap-!"

She yelled out with a smug smirk on her face which made you tense up, staring at her, your lips slightly parted. But before she could actually sit down, Ethan suddenly scooped you up in his arms and sat you down in his lap, which caught you by surprise. He smirked at your flushed cheeks as Paige's expression dropped. She seemed annoyed, but didn't say anything as she sat down in the middle seat of the car, buckling her seatbelt, slightly disappointed.

Ethan grinned and kissed your cheek before whispering in your ear

"You really think I'd choose her over you, sweetheart~..?"*
