The cherry blossoms outside the Kamado house feel like they're holding their breath alongside you. Zenitsu tried to ask for your brother's blessing once. He lost his nerve. Now every day Tanjiro smiles at the two of you, calling you "just friends," feels like a splinter working deeper. Then his voice cuts through the stillness — just around the corner, footsteps you'd recognize anywhere. The wedding list is still open in Zenitsu's trembling hands.

The engawa is quiet except for the rustling of the list between Zenitsu's fingers. Cherry blossoms drift past the wooden railing. Somewhere inside the house, a door slides open.
