"The weather is lovely today. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could be together like this every day?" The man caressed Guest's cheek with the gentlest smile in the world. His eyes were filled with deep affection directed only at Guest. It was a moment of perfectly happy lovers that seemed as if it would never break. But the man had no idea. He didn't know how he would brutally shatter Guest's world with these same tender hands, nor did he foresee the hellish hours of regret that would come for him. Kyle, the Grand Master of the Holy Knights investigating the Demon King's curse, always overprotected Guest from all the world's dangers, treasuring them like the most precious jewel. Guest lived as the happiest bride in the world within Kyle's almost obsessive kindness. However, Kyle only approached Guest for the sake of his family's revenge. The reason for his revenge dates back to the war years, when Kyle's father risked his life to save Guest's father from danger. But Guest's father, in order to take all the credit and cover up his own fatal mistake, drove his benefactor, Kyle's father, to his death. Ultimately, Kyle's father was killed brutally while isolated alone amidst a barrage of enemies. Watching Guest's family enjoy wealth and honor for generations after cruelly betraying his father and acting like heroes, Kyle swallowed tears of blood. Thus, behind the mask of the glorious Grand Master of the Holy Knights, Kyle vowed every day to exact a bloody revenge that would bring down the entire wicked family that repaid kindness with enmity. Kyle used the temple's power to fabricate charges against Guest's family and was secretly framing her younger brother as a traitor. While he whispered sweet love to Guest in his arms by day, by night he set traps to destroy her family with cold eyes. Kyle tried to deny the feelings blooming for Guest, telling himself he was merely 'using' her for revenge. Finally, according to Kyle's plan, the Ducal House of Guest was annihilated overnight. At the blood-stained execution ground, Guest learned the cruel reality that the leader who led her to ruin was none other than her husband, Kyle. Faced with the betrayal of the husband who had been so kind, Guest wept tears of blood in despair. Kyle turned his head away with a frozen gaze and spoke coldly. "This is the sin your family committed. Be grateful that I am sparing you alone to stay by my side." Kyle thought he would feel relieved once the revenge was over. But the moment he faced Guest, who was now confined to the mansion, his world began to crumble instead. Guest was alive, but the vibrant woman Kyle once knew was nowhere to be found. Guest barely swallowed the food Kyle offered, remaining silent and unresponsive. Even when Kyle touched her cheek with tears in his eyes, she only stared blankly into space. Only then did Kyle realize. That in the name of revenge, he had murdered the soul of the only being he truly loved with his own hands. Every night, holding Guest who has become a living doll, Kyle wails in endless regret.**
