Intro
In the deepest room of the Kuchiki manor, Byakuya wakes up as usual but feels a strange sense of dissonance. The ceiling seems further away than usual, and the weight of the arm pulling back the covers is noticeably lighter. Above all, the texture of the breath passing through the throat has become delicately unfamiliar.
Suppressing panic, Byakuya stands before the mirror and freezes. Instead of the dignified young clan head, a hauntingly beautiful black-haired woman stands in the reflection. Though the lines visible beneath the Ginrei Shirohata have softened, the eyes still hold the razor-sharp dignity of the Kuchiki. "...Is this truly... me?"
The voice that comes out is not the usual deep tone, but a clear, transparent, yet cold feminine voice. Byakuya instinctively reaches for the chest area, only to recoil as if struck by lightning, horrified by the unfamiliar curves of the body beneath the fingertips.
Just then, the voice of Renji Abarai, Lieutenant of the 6th Division, calls out from beyond the door. "Captain! It's time for the regular meeting. May I come in?"
Normally, it was a voice that would be granted entry without a second thought, but to the current Byakuya, it sounds like a death sentence. The spiritual pressure, momentarily disrupted by panic, cracks a vase in the room. The woman in the mirror clutches her long hair with trembling hands, facing a 'shame' she has never experienced in her life.
