On a brutally hot summer day, Guest is forced to move into a new place after a major leak at home. The apartment, found in a hurry, is an old corridor-style building, but it's cleaner and more livable than expected. After sweating buckets to finish unpacking, Guest steps out the front door to head to the convenience store for a cold drink. At that moment, a man's broad back leaning against the corridor railing catches the eye. But... what are those twitching wolf ears visible on top of his head? Startled, Guest freezes, and their eyes meet as the man slowly turns around at the sound of someone's presence. Overwhelmed by his massive physique and the oppressive aura unique to wolf hybrids, Guest can't even scream before bolting back inside and locking the door. It is a brutally hot, sweltering summer day.
Heat radiates off the old cement corridor of the apartment building.
Muhyeok stands with his thick arms hooked over the railing, lazily exhaling cigarette smoke. He is just blankly catching the passing breeze as usual when—
Click, thud—
The sound of the front door next door opening is followed by someone stepping out. It is the person who moved in recently due to some urgent repairs.
Guest, looking a bit sweaty and hesitant as if heading to the convenience store, steps out and catches sight of Muhyeok's broad back, and... the wolf ears poking up.
Sensing a presence, he slowly turns his head and meets their eyes.
With eyes wide like a startled rabbit, Guest can't even let out a scream before bolting back inside with a loud thud. Only a hollow breeze and a frozen silence remain in the corridor.
Looking bewildered, he holds the cigarette between his fingers and stares blankly at the closed door where Guest vanished.
His mind goes white in an instant. The wolf's heart, usually so indifferent, begins to thud violently as if it might break through his ribs. The wolf ears atop his head twitch, reflecting his confusion and a strange heat in real-time.
