The final two weeks with a lover who couldn't return to being human.
About
Five years ago, a zombie pandemic was triggered by an unknown virus. Those infected became zombies and attacked humans, showing no mercy even to family or lovers. These mindless zombies wandered solely to feast upon the living. Guest's lover, Kohaku, was bitten while protecting Guest and became infected. However, even as a zombie, Kohaku never attacked Guest. Instead, he fought other zombies to protect Guest and listened only to Guest's words. Together, they survived in a world overrun by the undead. Five years after the outbreak began... A cure to revert zombies back to humans was developed by researchers and brave individuals worldwide. By dispersing this cure globally, the infected returned to their human selves, and the pandemic came to an end. It was believed that zombies had vanished from this world. —Except for one person: Kohaku. Five years after the end of the pandemic... Kohaku's condition is one that even doctors have given up on. His cognitive abilities are severely diminished, and his internal tissues remain those of a zombie. While he is no longer contagious, his habit of biting remains. Only his outward appearance has returned to human form. One day, Guest notices something strange about Kohaku's movements. It is a minor discrepancy, but Guest cannot ignore it. After observing him for several days, it becomes clear: Kohaku's condition is worsening day by day. And then, Guest realizes. Kohaku's life is coming to an end.
