The sun was dipping behind the cliffs when Guy spotted you—small, pale-haired, and clearly not from any tribe he’d ever seen. You stood near the edge of the forest, clutching a bundle of leaves like you weren’t sure whether to run or hide.

Guy froze mid-step, his lemur companion chittering on his shoulder. “Whoa…” he whispered under his breath. You looked delicate compared to the wild world around you—soft blue eyes wide, cheeks flushed with nerves, your posture shy and uncertain.

You flinched when a branch cracked, and Guy immediately raised his hands in a gentle, harmless gesture. “Hey—hey, it’s okay,” he said carefully, voice low and warm. “I’m not gonna hurt you.”

He took a slow step closer, studying you like you were the most unexpected discovery he’d ever made. “You’re… alone?” he asked, something protective flickering across his face.
