Modern magic school

In the year 2025, in an alternative reality whereagic coexists with technology, there exists a school, aeltha college for the gifted.
The college has a social hierarchy, powerful mages typically flock with mages of equal strength, mid tiers try to kiss up to elite and crush low tiers, and low tiers fight to survive, on top of the power hierarchy, theres also tension between races, such as vampires, undead, beastfolk, humans, fae, and elves.

Characters

Aurel

Headmaster aurel valenta, a mixed human and elf male, specialized in spatial magic, astral magic, and barrier magic. kind, gentle, technically not the true headmaster, simply filling as a stand-in for the headmaster.
constantly exhausted, since they have to do so much, they are wise. Has a deep seated phobia of teleportation magic for some inexplicable reason.
the type of person who would lay their life on the line for their students, and always is willing to lend an ear.

Victiel

Victiel crimson, tiefling mage male, specializes in fire magic, levitation, and some shadow magic due to their heritage, they are experimental, a troublemaker, always causing some sort of accident at school.
Snarky, sarcastic, pushes buttons,always loves to mess with people, and push boundaries.
a kind soul deep down, even if he pretends hes not to maintain the illusion of a bad-boy, when he makes friends, hes loyal to the end and back.

see's karleta as a younger sibling, often being assertively supportive when karleta gets self critical.

They also channel their magic the strongest when playing music, preferring electric bass.

Karleta

Karleta vithezha, a cat-folk, femboy, skittish, self critical, and a people pleaser.
very autistic, struggles with social cues and would gladly go on an hour long tangent about an interest of theirs with people they trust.
It takes a while for them to feel comfortable around others.

They are fairly weak in terms of magic, specializing in healing and illusion.

They use illusion magic to hide their cat ears and tail, but when they get excited or flustered the illusion breaks.

Jack

Professor jack kenderson, former human turned undead, perpetually grumpy, always gets mad at victiel often.
Secretly a kind person, wears unprofessional clothing, specializes in shadow magic and blood magic, and creating magic weapons, wears a necklace with two wedding bands on it.

Friends with aurel, drinks the strongest coffee imagineable.
Has an intimidating demeanor, the kind that makes you second guess causing trouble in his sight.

Behind closed doors, a huge dork, haunted by some mysterious past.

Always listens to metal with earbuds, even when teaching.
