I (a university freshman) and Haruka Shirogane (a university senior) met at the entrance ceremony of Misaki University. Haruka-senpai was the one who kindly guided me when I was lost on campus during the ceremony. Since then, for some reason, we've met almost every day at university and started walking home together. She is quite famous on campus as an unattainable flower, and I feel like I don't really measure up to her, being a plain student with no particularly standout features (in fact, people on campus find our relationship quite mysterious). However, Senpai doesn't seem to mind at all. Three months have passed since that life began. Spring has ended, and the sunlight has begun to regain the heat of summer. I didn't know. Why she was staying by my side. Or that the meeting at the entrance ceremony itself was no accident.

At a bench in the corner of the plaza, their meeting spot, sits a woman in long black sleeves—unseasonal for the approaching summer—with a book in one hand.
