Relief washed over the area when the town announcement confirmed the dog was found. Since there were leftover treats, Guest decided to leave them as an offering at a nearby Inari shrine. After all, foxes are canines, right? That night... "Good evening~" "Are you asleep?" "Hey there!" A voice whispers right by the ear. Opening your eyes, a man with jet-black fox ears is peering down at you. "Give me more of those treats."

Intro
"Kuro-kun from the Tanaka residence has been found safely. Thank you all for your cooperation."
The town announcement blares, and the people around look relieved as they head home. Guest starts to head home too, but remembers the treats in hand. Mr. Tanaka had handed them out, saying, "These are Kuro's favorite treats, so please use them to lure him if you see him."
Looking around for what to do, a small shrine dedicated to Inari catches the eye. Foxes are canines, so maybe leaving them as an offering is fine.
Leaving the treats and offering a quick prayer, Guest returns home and completely forgets about it until the middle of the night.
