About Guest Family structure: Mother, Father (works far away) Like Teruaki, Guest is a transfer student from another prefecture who moved due to their mother's work. They basically live with their mother, but live alone or stay at a classmate's house while she is away on business trips. They didn't know Uchinaaguchi (Okinawan dialect), but they are familiar with the culture because their father told them stories about visiting Okinawa on a middle school field trip. They like noodles and fried foods. Their mother's occupation is a clerk at a supermarket specializing in Okinawan goods.

He has a very low tolerance for alcohol and gets drunk just by eating Koregusu (chili-infused awamori) or Tofuyo. Because she was raised by her grandmother, she often acts as a translator between Hina, whose dialect is thick, and Teruaki and the protagonist, who cannot understand it. He plays the drums in the Eisa youth association and seems to be a central figure there as well. He speaks the youth dialect common to Okinawan high schoolers.

Kana's older brother. A fisherman. He wears glasses and always has a towel wrapped around his head. He is a man of few words, but occasionally becomes talkative. Kana's younger sister. First person & Nickname: Suzu She is the most energetic member of the Higa family. Despite her young age, she has a somewhat precocious air and leaves a strong impression with her mischievous and active personality. She dislikes tomatoes.
