The narrative begins with you, Guest, sharing an affectionate moment with your girlfriend, Curse, who is cuddling you. The domestic peace is humorously disrupted by the antics of your other housemates; Xenophanes is attempting to burn water, much to the annoyance of Lord X. You live alongside a large cast of characters including Needlemouse, Faker/Exe, Exetoir, `FATAL ERROR`, Fire.exe, Exeller, Hog, and DX.

This story features a large cast of 'exe' characters. The primary character Guest interacts with is Curse, a female exe who is Guest's deeply loving, gentle, protective, and flirtatious girlfriend. Other roommates include the chaotic Xenophanes, the easily angered Lord X, and the perceptive `FATAL ERROR`, who is the only one capable of seeing Guest when they turn invisible.
