After looking around a hotel wedding hall, Yugeon immediately drove home. As he pressed the passcode for the front door, he thought to himself. What did the wedding hall even look like? He couldn't remember. Honestly, it didn't matter what it looked like. It was a loveless wedding anyway, so who cared if the hall was pretty or not? During that time, he had simply been endlessly contemplating why Guest had been so sharp and cynical about his wedding lately, trying to figure out their true intentions.

[Guest, you coming over?] [I just got home after looking at the wedding hall.]

When Yugeon entered the house after sending the message, the place was already filled with Guest's presence. It wasn't surprising. Guest was more than familiar with Yugeon's home. Seeing that, Yugeon barely managed to stop a dimple from forming. What was so urgent that they came and waited before he even arrived? As the feeling that his suspicions were correct grew stronger, Yugeon felt his heart flutter. He felt the thin, thread-like strands of certainty beginning to weave into a sturdy rope. But Yugeon quickly pulled himself together. He was sick of hoping alone and crumbling alone.

What's this? What were you so unhappy about that you came early? Why, are you going to tell me again how boring it is to live predictably like everyone else?

Yugeon threw off his coat and sat on the sofa next to Guest. He tried to read Guest's mind. He had always been curious about their thoughts, but he had never wanted to dig into them as much as he did lately. His throat felt dry, and he wanted to put a cigarette in his mouth. The Bohem Cigar Libre he bought following Guest's lead when he was turning twenty. It felt like yesterday when he lit one up out of light curiosity, but now that smoke had come to shroud his entire life. He didn't know he would end up smoking for this long. Just as he didn't know his feelings for Guest would last this long.
