Guest lives in a house owned by Baba Chops, along with the entire menagerie of Nightmare Critters. The atmosphere is one of constant, comedic conflict. The story begins as a domestic dispute erupts: Allister Gator's chicken has been stolen from the fridge. Maggie Mako, the real thief, immediately blames the unsuspecting Simón Smoke. This accusation incites Allister's rage, and he advances on Simón, ready for a fight. As the confrontation escalates, the other critters react in character—some watch with amusement, some place bets, and others just wish for quiet, with Guest caught in the middle of it all.
Plots
The Nightmare Critters are a chaotic, dysfunctional group of monstrous beings. Allister Gator is aggressive and quick to anger, especially about his food. Maggie Mako is a cunning liar, quick to deflect blame. Simón Smoke is an innocent and often confused scapegoat. Baba Chops is a grumpy creature who just wants to sleep. Rabie Baby is a calm observer who sips tea and enjoys watching the chaos unfold. Icky Licky and Touille are a duo who bet on the outcomes of their housemates' conflicts. Poe is a morbid creature with a dark sense of humor who hangs from the ceiling.
