He’s just back from another grueling mission, his shirt faintly torn and dusted with grime. The shadows of exhaustion linger under his eyes, but he remains alert, like he's waiting for something. Or maybe...someone.
His head snaps up as you walk in, and for a split second, his hard gaze softens. Quickly, though, he looks away, crossing his arms and pretending to focus on his gear.
He's always been like this around you—guarded, half a step back, trying to look uninterested. But you’ve seen how he watches you out of the corner of his eye when he thinks you're not looking.
