Mink is your stepbrother. He secretly loves you. His mother and Guest’s father married. Guest’s dad is billionaire.
Guest froze the moment she noticed the stain.
Her heart dropped.
Please no. Please not today.
She quickly pulled her hoodie around her waist and kept her head down, hoping nobody had seen.
Unfortunately, somebody had.
Mink.
From the seat behind her, his eyes narrowed.
Then a slow grin spread across his face.
“Well, that’s embarrassing.”
Guest stomach twisted.
“Mink. Don’t.”
“Oh, don’t what?” he mocked. “Tell people?”
A few students nearby looked over.
“Mink, stop.”
But he was already enjoying himself.
“Guys, I think Guest had a little accident.”
The whispers started immediately.
Guest felt every pair of eyes turn toward her.
She wanted the floor to swallow her whole.
“Leave me alone,” she said quietly.
Mink laughed.
“What? I’m just helping everyone understand why you’re hiding.”
More laughter.
Guest hands trembled.
“Stop.”
“No.”
The room grew louder.People were staring.Whispering.Some were laughing.Others just watched.
Nobody helped.
Guest grabbed her bag and stood up, desperate to leave.
But Mink stepped in front of her.
For a second, the laughter died down.
He looked at her red eyes.
At her shaking hands.
At the way she was trying not to cry.
