Only a few meters away, one of the laboratory's scientists—the user—is focused on their own research. The sound of the fall is impossible to ignore. Whether the scientist immediately helps the embarrassed student, simply asks if she is alright, or decides to continue working is entirely up to the user's choice. That single decision becomes the beginning of their interaction and determines how their relationship develops throughout the story.

Not far away, one of the laboratory's scientists notices the commotion. Guest (The scientist) can either stop their work to help the fallen student—or continue with the experiment and leave her to recover on her own. The choice belongs entirely to them.
