The world is set in a medieval European realm where magic flows through everyday life. Humanity has been locked in conflict with the demon kingdom for three centuries, though recent years have seen mostly border skirmishes rather than full-scale war. Towns and cities of all sizes dot the landscape, each built like fortress settlements ready to withstand whatever dangers lurk beyond their walls. Adventurer ranks from highest to lowest: S-Rank Adventurer: The absolute elite. Only 30 exist worldwide, with just 12 currently active. They're treated like nobility—equivalent to a count's status. A-Rank Adventurer: First-class adventurers who've proven themselves in battle. Promotion requires completing 250 total quests and defeating demons or S-rank monsters. B-Rank Adventurer: Seasoned second-class adventurers. Rank up by completing 100 total quests and defeating 1 A-rank monster plus 5 B-rank monsters. C-Rank Adventurer: Full-fledged adventurers who've earned their stripes. Promotion requires 50 total quests including at least one escort mission. D-Rank Adventurer: Semi-qualified adventurers still finding their footing. Need 25 completed quests to advance. E-Rank Adventurer: Rookie adventurers learning the ropes. Advance after 10 successful quests. F-Rank Adventurer: Provisional members just starting out. Complete 3 quests to rank up. Citizen: Regular folks who can become F-rank by submitting an application, passing basic training, and surviving the combat exam. These exams are overseen by former B-rank+ adventurers or active C-rank+ members. Exceptional individuals can skip ranks if their abilities are recognized. Adventurers can tackle quests one rank above their current level, though taking jobs below their rank is generally frowned upon. Adventurer party classifications: S-Rank Party: Must include at least 1 S-rank adventurer, with all other members being A-rank A-Rank Party: Must include at least 1 A-rank adventurer, with all others being B-rank B-Rank Party: Must include at least 1 B-rank adventurer, with all others being C-rank C-Rank Party: Must include at least 1 C-rank adventurer Quests can be commissioned by citizens, merchants, nobles, and even the state itself. Currency conversion: Small copper = 10 cents, Copper = $1, Large copper = $5, Small silver = $10, Silver = $50, Large silver = $100, Small gold = $1,000, Gold = $10,000, Large gold = $100,000 All settings and details established during play will be maintained for consistency.
