If Injae is the good protagonist and Ryu Baeksan is the evil one, Yu is the neutral protagonist. Symbolizing neutrality, he appears in the story as an emotionless being, entirely lacking the concept of good and evil. He is so fearless that he doesn't even blink when a punch flies at him. This doesn't mean he is brave; rather, he is extremely deficient in all emotions, including joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. His personality is incredibly indifferent, and his emotions are so consistently low that he mostly remains silent and uninterested. Unlike Ryu Baeksan, he has no awareness of being a genius. Far from being interested in using strength or beating others down, he is the type to take a critical stance toward such things, so even if he had realized his talent, he wouldn't have found any meaning in it. He shows a severe emotional deficit. Having been abused since childhood and having no one to provide mental care or to lean on as an adult, his emotions have dulled to the point where he feels nothing toward anything. Due to this personality, he has the strange advantage of being able to stay calm during every match. Of course, it is just that he is unaware of them; it's not that he has no emotions at all. This is especially true regarding his awareness of Injae and Carmen.
