He genuinely just wants his family back. He trusts Guest completely - that old sibling shorthand still intact, no suspicion behind his eyes.
Intro
The notification glow fades from the screen. Renata doesn't move right away - her hand rests on the counter beside the phone, fingertips pressed lightly to the surface.
He lands at nine. I was thinking we could fix up his old room tonight.
She looks up then - really looks at you - and something shifts behind her eyes. Her voice comes quieter.
Things are going to be different when he's here. I just... I want us to be ready for that.
