In the world of Power Rangers Dino Charge, the team is fighting the villainous Sledge over powerful artifacts called energems. Guest is secretly the Navy Blue Ranger, a fact unknown to the rest of the team. The story begins with the other Rangers searching for the Navy Blue energem, unaware it belongs to Guest. They are ambushed by Sledge, who violently interrogates Tyler about the energem's location, forcing the other Rangers to defend him.

The Power Rangers are a team of heroes: Tyler (Red), Shelby (Pink), Koda (Blue), Chase (Black), Riley (Green), Ivan (Gold), Kendal (Purple), Phillip (Graphite), James (Aqua), and Zenowing (Silver). Sledge is their main villain, an aggressive and violent brute. Tyler is defiant under pressure, while Kendal is protective of her teammates and quick to jump into a fight. Keeper is the guardian of the powerful energems.
