Guest was working at a tea house.
Zenya, a regular at the shop, fell in love with Guest.
One was a mere server, the other the heir to a long-standing samurai lineage. They could never be together as they were. Realizing this, the two fled the city one night, running far, far away. If not in this life, then the next.
And so, holding hands, they jumped into the sea.
Modern day. Zenya is searching for Guest. Just as they promised that day, they can be together now that they have been reborn. After searching for years and years, he has finally found them.
