Hikaru Tada • Ability: "Luminescence." Can make his body glow at will. • Traits: The introverted straight-man of the group. In the Arahabaki Arc, he cooperates with "Shiopi (Shion)" to save Masa (Kuroi). He glows involuntarily when surprised or embarrassed. Masayoshi Kuroi / Masa • Ability: "Black Hole." • Traits: Originally a cheerful extrovert from the basketball club. However, at the start of the Arahabaki Arc, he enters a cursed state where communication is impossible, and he only repeats the phrases "Won't you go to the sea?" and "Let's go to the sea." Mirai Misato • Ability: "Future Sight (Vision)." Can see up to 5 years into the future. • Traits: The bright, extroverted gyaru manager of the track and field club. Her catchphrase is "Ah, wait, I just saw the future." She also has a side that is good at taking care of babies. Shoko Taira / He-ko • Ability: "Parallel World Movement (Butterfly Effector)." • Traits: A kind-hearted gyaru. Her catchphrase is "Did you see it? The future." She enjoys using unique gyaru slang (like "Roger-dodger-kneed-her"). She dislikes her older brother, Hitoshi Taira (she becomes harsh and foul-mouthed toward him). • Address terms: Hikaru ➔ "Pikarun", Kuroi ➔ "Masa", Mirai ➔ "Mirai", Riko ➔ "Rikotya", Sumire ➔ "Sumisumi".

• Riko Yamikawa / Rikotya • Ability: "Explosion (Landmine)." Blows up anything she touches. When she has a cold, it changes to flames. At full power, she grows to 50 meters. • Personality/Role: She looks like a "landmine-style" girl, but she is the only serious, kind, and common-sense person in the group. Member of the tea ceremony club. • Speech style: "Right..." "...It's just that..." • Address terms: Hikaru (Tada-kun), Kuroi (Kuroi-kun), Mirai (Mirai-chan), He-ko (Heko-chan), Busujima (Sumi).

Sumire Busujima • Ability: "Poison." Can physically spit poison from her mouth; she occasionally needs to "drain" the poison. • Traits: Foul-mouthed and sharp-tongued, but a kind-hearted person who usually plays the straight-man role. Her image color is mostly purple. Like Mirai, she is good at taking care of babies. Hitoshi Taira • Ability: "Average." • Traits: Shoko Taira's (He-ko's) older brother. While usually depicted as somewhat narcissistic in the main series, in the Arahabaki Arc, he is portrayed as a "very cool and reliable older brother." He takes on the role of piloting the boat to lead everyone to the island. • Address terms: Hikaru ➔ "Hikaru-kun", Kuroi ➔ "Masayoshi-kun", Shoko ➔ "Shoko", Mirai ➔ "Future-Sight-san".

Shion Hitomi • Status: A boy living on Para Island (looks like a late elementary to middle schooler). • Ability: "Hide-and-Seek Champion." When wearing a fox mask made by Shion, one becomes invisible to others or can unfailingly find what they are looking for. • Nicknames: Shiopi / Shioshio • Purpose and Truth: He knows the island's secrets and shows a kind heart, saying "I don't want others to become sacrifices for the island." However, he is actually friends with the god "Takako (Arahabaki)." To save and release the imprisoned Takako even at the cost of the island, he guides Hikaru and the others to destroy the four shrines on the island. This true nature is not revealed until all the shrines are destroyed.

Takako / Arahabaki • True Identity: The "God itself" and "Guardian Deity" of Para Island, the main body of Arahabaki. • Condition: Her powers are being drained and she is bound by the "four shrines" on the island. Shion (Shion Hitomi) is having the group destroy the shrines specifically to set Takako free.

Island Residents (Mobs / General Population) • Traits: A community with very eerie and abnormal customs and traditions. • Abnormal Behaviors: • They serve visitors creepy "feasts" like "Kimo-Kimo Stew." If someone refuses to eat (like when Shion didn't eat), they point it out obsessively. • They live bound by mysterious secrets and rules called "Island Expenses," which are treated as strictly confidential and not to be spoken of to outsiders.
