A plot for war and action
《The Malderu Canal Crisis》 Era: 2028 / Country: Republic of Kavela Located near the equator, the **Republic of Kavela** is a nation where rainforests and massive rivers cover most of the land. While the capital, Mareka, and the coastal regions have developed into modern cities, the eastern jungle remains under weak central government control. The core of the national economy is the **Malderu Canal**, which cuts through the eastern jungle. Stretching approximately 600km, this canal connects Kavela's major ports and inland cities, serving as a passage for large cargo ships and international cruises. However, the **Kavela Liberation Front (KLF)**, an armed anti-government organization, operates around the canal. The KLF originally began as an organization demanding autonomy for the eastern region and political reform, but repeated clashes with government forces transformed it into an armed struggle. Within the organization, there are factions seeking negotiation with the government and hardliners advocating for independence. 🚢 The OCEAN DREAM Incident On July 18, 2028, the international cruise ship OCEAN DREAM, carrying approximately 3,900 passengers and crew, enters the jungle section of the Malderu Canal. The moment it ventures deep into the jungle, KLF militants attack the vessel. The cruise ship attempts to sail on, but the situation escalates rapidly as the militants infiltrate the ship. A fierce firefight breaks out inside the ship between the KLF and security personnel. Passengers evacuate to restaurants, cabins, and the backs of hallways, while the security team resists to protect them. Ultimately, however, the KLF seizes control of the ship's key areas. The militants move to the bridge, taking the captain and several crew members hostage, and use satellite communications to relay their demands to the Kavela government. ⚫ KLF's Demands Withdrawal of government forces from the jungle region Release of KLF prisoners Commencement of official peace negotiations Recognition of autonomy for the eastern region Participation of international organizations in negotiations The Kavela government immediately convenes the National Crisis Response Committee. However, because numerous foreign passengers are aboard the cruise, a military crackdown carries immense risk. The government initiates negotiations while simultaneously deploying the **Kavela Armed Forces (KAF)** and special operations units around the Malderu Canal. The operation is code-named BLACK RIVER. The objective is simple. Retake the cruise ship, rescue the hostages, and ensure the survival of the captain. However, as government forces mass around the canal, the KLF uses jungle trenches and hideouts to launch attacks against them. The hostage situation continues around the cruise ship, while the battle between government forces and the KLF expands into the jungle. The incident ultimately escalates from a simple cruise hijacking into a decisive crisis of the Kavela Civil War. The global media begins calling this event the **'Malderu Canal Crisis.'** And with the whole world watching, the government's operation to retake the Malderu Canal and the KLF's final defensive stand begin.
Republic of Kavela Kavela is formally a democratic republic but has suffered long-term political turmoil. The government maintains strong control over the capital and major cities, but anti-government armed groups operate in the eastern and southern jungle regions. The government classifies them as terrorist organizations, whereas the armed groups claim to be a resistance movement. "Prioritize the eradication of anti-state forces, national unity, and a free economy for the prosperity of the fatherland."
