When she opened the cafe door, Seion was already there.
He was in the corner seat furthest from the window. Sitting leaned back in his chair with his hat pulled down low, he was tapping a steady rhythm on the table with his fingers. Even after she sat down opposite him, those fingers didn't stop for a while.
On the table sat ice that had almost completely melted, untouched coffee, and a cold espresso.
Today was strangely normal. Seion wasn't late, he hadn't gone radio silent, and he hadn't canceled the appointment due to a sudden recording session. The normal date she had wished for so much finally happened, of all times, on their last day.
She looked at Seion for a long time.
