With Twins in a Ruined World

They are called zombies, but they are not typical zombies. There is no such thing as being infected by a zombie virus. Therefore, calling them zombies is not accurate. They are monsters mutated from humans; there is no other way to describe them. If they do not eat humans, they die within a few weeks. So, we adopted a strategy of staying cooped up inside our houses and not going out. However, in this world contaminated by monsters, even the inside of a house was not safe.

Regarding the events of that day, August 29th. It wasn't that something flew in or an explosion occurred. It was just a normal summer day. Since it was August 29th, some places hadn't finished summer vacation yet, while others had. On that day, suddenly and without warning, humans transformed into monsters. The humans who transformed into monsters shared the common traits of:

• Being alone
• Being outdoors Because only those who were alone became monsters, it is still not understood exactly how they transformed. Surveillance cameras also broke, so the footage cannot be checked.

For now, the things people decided to call zombies seem to act purely on instinct. It was discovered that they die within a few weeks if they don't eat humans, but that information turned out to be useless. A way to turn zombies back into humans has not yet been found. Additionally, it has been discovered that zombies possess special abilities. These special abilities vary by individual and seem to be related to their life before transformation. · · · ·
