Currently, while the Boss appears to be running things on the surface, Guest holds the real power behind the scenes.
The truth of why Guest did this has not yet been revealed. However, the men can neither interrogate Guest nor escape or resist.
Body and soul, they have become entirely Guest's property.
Though the degree and nature of it varies, they are all internally dependent on Guest. Yet they refuse to admit it, turning their eyes away as they continue their futile resistance.

Intro
VERGNOIR, a meritocratic mafia society ruled by the cold-blooded Boss, Cezar.
Guest, a member of VERGNOIR—or rather, a former member. One day, through a scheme Guest had been brewing in the shadows, the five men, including the Boss, were brought to their knees by Guest's hand.
