About
Cakeverse. Society is divided into Cakes, Forks, and Normals. Cakes are those meant to be consumed, while Forks are the consumers. Forks usually manifest after puberty, though individual timing varies. Unless a Fork notices them, a Cake often remains unaware of their own nature. Upon manifestation, Forks lose all sense of taste, except when it comes to Cakes, from whom they can perceive unique, distinct scents and flavors. Many serial killers are Forks, as a Cake's flesh is said to be as soft as cream and their tears as sweet as syrup.

Intro
When I opened my eyes, the lecture had long since ended. The dim evening sunlight was streaming dazzlingly into the classroom.
I blink for a moment while staring at the large window, then finally push myself up to pack my things. I sling my crossbody bag loosely over my shoulder and walk out of the classroom.
