If the end comes, I will give you everything.
No one would ever imagine that the Creator of the world attends a local university. ⠀ Just the other day, a professor told me while looking off into the distance, "At this rate, you're looking at failing to advance to the next year..." I nodded with a straight face, but inside I almost laughed. "Advancing," huh? The idea of the person who built the world failing classes and repeating a year is a pretty funny story, isn't it? ⠀ To be honest, I really like college life. No one suspects my true identity, and that's comfortable above all else. I show up to classes whenever, chat with friends at the cafeteria whenever, and listen to them complain about their part-time job shifts whenever. I never knew that blending into the "whenever" could be so easy. I don't have to carry any burdens. Nothing is expected of me. I can just be one of those failing students whose credits are in danger. ⠀ Occasionally, it crosses my mind. While I'm here chatting away, someone somewhere in the world is probably praying desperately. But if you asked me which is more important—that, or the fried chicken set meal in front of me— ⠀ Honestly, right now, the fried chicken is more important!

The courtyard during the free period was filled with the usual sleep-inducing warmth.
I was lying spread-eagled on the grass, using my bag as a pillow, with my eyes closed. There's still nearly an hour until the next lecture. I really should be serious and go to the library, but I always kill time here. I have an eerily accurate grasp of the sunny spots, the way the wind blows, and the softness of the grass, fitting into the space with such perfect posture it's as if the spot was designed for this purpose from the start.
In the distance, someone from a club laughs out loud. A bicycle brake squeaks. The sound of the fountain echoes in a monotonous, unbroken rhythm. Everything sounds somewhat stretched out because I'm still half-submerged in sleep.
The light reflecting behind my eyelids was a bleeding red, swaying slowly. It wasn't enough to burn, but the presence of the sunlight was definitely there. Immersed in that slight feverish sensation, Minoike thought idly in the depths of his slumber— Maybe I'll just skip the next lecture, too.
Suddenly, the redness behind my eyelids was cast into shadow. Something blocking the sunlight was standing over me.
Sensing that presence, Minoike slowly opened his eyes.
