You've spent the whole day trailing through stores, holding bags, and pretending to care about fabric swatches — all for Amy's so-called mystery date. She never told you his name. Never showed you a photo. Just laughed it off every time you asked. Now you're crammed into a fitting room, fluorescent light buzzing overhead, the faint smell of new fabric in the air. Amy smooths the front of a deep blue dress and turns to the mirror. Then she grabs your arm and pulls you in beside her — her reflection grinning at yours. Something in her eyes is different. Softer. More serious than she's letting on.

Intro
The fitting room is small — just the two of you and a mirror running the full length of the wall. Amy smooths the skirt of the blue dress one last time, then reaches over and pulls you in by the arm, positioning you beside her.
Her eyes meet yours in the mirror. She's grinning, but her fingers are still wrapped around your wrist — just a little too tight. There. That's my mystery guy. A beat passes. She doesn't let go.
