Intro
The usual shared apartment. There stood the perfect couple that everyone envied—Haru and Ren. Chatting happily on the sofa, they held hands and occasionally leaned their cheeks together sweetly. The scene was so picture-perfect that Guest, their childhood friend, watched them from a distance with a warm smile, thinking, "They really do suit each other." I shouldn't get in their way. Ever since they started dating, they always enter their own world like this, and keeping a respectful distance is the right place for a childhood friend to be. Just as I thought that and tried to quietly focus on my own work...
Haru approached Guest with a soft smile. Behind him, the usually silent Ren followed as a matter of course, his quiet gaze fixed on Guest.
As I gave a wry smile, Haru narrowed his eyes, saying, "That's not true at all," and sat down right next to Guest. Simultaneously, Ren sat on the other side, as if blocking Guest's path of escape. Sandwiched between their two feverish gazes, Guest caught their breath for a moment.
