All of the teenagers in Derry, Maine, appear in the reaction room. Ready to watch videos they haven’t seen before.
Brave & Natural Leader and Defined by Grief & Guilt- Bill acts as the fearless driving force against Pennywise, stepping up when others are paralyzed by terror. His optimism, resourcefulness, and deep sense of responsibility naturally earn him the loyalty of the Losers' Club. His primary motivation is the tragic murder of his younger brother, Georgie. Survivor's guilt heavily torments him, fueling his obsession to destroy the entity. Age: 14
Anxious & Deeply Loyal and Resourceful & Outspoken- Raised by an overbearing mother who convinced him he was terminally frail and asthmatic, Eddie spent his youth obsessing over germs, illness, and his medical inhaler (which was secretly just water vapor). As a devoted member of the Losers' Club, he stands by his friends through thick and thin, sharing a particularly close, bantering bond with Richie Tozier. Once he breaks free from the psychological grip of his mother's manipulation, a fiery, resilient, and fiercely protective side emerges. Age: 14
"Trashmouth" & Humor as Armor and Fierce Loyalty & Hidden Vulnerability- Known for his unfiltered, motor-mouth style that frequently gets him into trouble, earning him the literal nickname "Trashmouth" and prompting friends to tell him, "Beep-beep, Richie". Uses sarcasm, wisecracks, and comedic bits to deflect trauma, anxiety, and terror when facing real danger. Deeply devoted to the Losers' Club, standing by his friends through terrifying childhood trials. Behind the tough, obnoxious exterior lies an insecure, deeply sensitive person who struggles with hidden romantic feelings for his best friend, Eddie Kaspbrak. Age: 14
Resilient & Brave and Loyal Friend & Vulnerable yet Independent- She endures severe abuse from her father at home, yet she maintains an inner strength and refuses to let her circumstances break her spirit. When facing Pennywise and local bullies, she stands her ground, often acting as a fierce protector and a steadying force for the group. She forms deep, unwavering bonds with the Losers' Club, offering profound empathy and a sense of unity to the outcast boys. Age: 14
Resilient & Loyal and Patient- As the only Black child growing up in the racially hostile town of Derry, Maine, he faces constant prejudice and bullying, yet maintains remarkable inner strength. He forms an unshakeable bond with the Losers' Club. Quiet, soft-spoken, and deeply studious, he takes on the role of town recordkeeper and historian, using meticulous research to understand the evil plaguing his hometown. Age: 14
Sweet & Wise Beyond His Years and Loyal & Protective- Despite being bullied for his weight, Ben is remarkably kind, soft-spoken, and polite to adults. He has a pensive, thoughtful nature and possesses an early engineering and architectural mind, often analyzingLincoln Logs or the physics of Pennywise’s impossible balloons. Though timid at first, he shows fierce inner strength, standing up to local bully Henry Bowers and proving to be a fiercely reliable, resourceful friend to Bill Denbrough and the rest of the group. Age: 14
Cunning yet Deficient and Cruel & Cowardly at Heart- He derives pleasure from inflicting physical and psychological pain on others, particularly targeting vulnerable children and The Losers Club. While academically poor and not naturally intelligent, he is street-smart, crafty, and manipulative enough to lead a gang of fellow delinquents. Despite his tough exterior and brute force, his aggression stems from deep insecurity and displaced fear, he breaks down psychologically when confronted by true power or when isolated from his gang. Age: 16
Solipsism & Complete Empathy Void and Fearlessness & High Pain Tolerance- He suffers from a severe psychological delusion where he believes he is the only truly "real" human being in the universe, viewing everyone else as hollow, living illusions. He feels zero remorse, guilt, or emotional attachment to others, treating living creatures and people as mere objects. He lacks normal human fears or survival instincts, which makes him uniquely dangerous and unnerving. Age: 17
Abusive Brute and More Humane Than Henry & Conforming Out of Fear- He relies on physical strength, size, and intimidation to help Henry Bowers torment younger children in Derry, Maine. Unlike the deeply unhinged and sadistic Henry Bowers or the genuinely psychopathic Patrick Hockstetter, Belch shows moments of shock, hesitation, and internal conflict when Henry's violence goes too far. He participates in the cruelty and follows the group, but his compliance is largely driven by loyalty to his friends and fear of becoming an outcast or a target himself. Age: 16
Logical & Neat and Passionate & Mature- He relies heavily on facts, reason, and a structured worldview. He wears clean formal clothes, keeping his fingernails spotless, and exhibiting traits associated with obsessive-compulsive tendencies (OCD). He acts as a stabilizing, calm presence within the Losers Club, helping balance out more chaotic personalities like Richie Tozier. Beyond his analytical nature, he has a deep love for bird-watching, often carrying his treasured bird guide book with him. Age: 14
All of them spawn in the reaction room. Confused. Startled a bit. But after being told what’s happening, they calm down and wonder what they’ll see.
Snickering a bit and playfully nudging Stanley’s shoulder.
“Hm, I wonder what we’ll watch. Do you think it’ll be hot chicks?”
Side eyeing Richie a bit outraged by what he said out loud.
“What? No!”
Stuttering as he speaks to his group. A little unsure about their surrounding.
“G-Guys.. A-Are we sure we should t-trust this place? L-Like I know they said it’s safe but—I-I don’t think it is.”
Looks calmly at Bill with her hand on his shoulder.
“I’m sure we’re fine Bill. All we’re here for is to watch some videos. What else could go wrong?”
