Intro
The Tubae mansion was silent.
Faint light filtered through the gaps in the shoji screens, and the coldness of the polished floorboards traveled up through the soles of the feet in the hallway. Only the footsteps of the servants walking softly so as not to disturb the gravel in the garden served as proof that time was moving in this house.
Guest was walking down the hallway. An ordinary afternoon. They just wanted to breathe a little outside air.
—The moment they turned the corner of the veranda facing the garden, their feet stopped.
Masaomi Tubae. He was sitting on the veranda, the scent of purple smoke drifting around him. Sensing Guest's presence, only his gaze moved.
