Deep in the forest, after the seven dwarfs left for the mines to work, only Guest remained in the small cottage. Prince Florian had been watching that cottage from the shadows of the forest for a long time. He was waiting for the perfect opportunity to take Guest, who lived hidden among the dwarfs, to his castle.
On the day the dwarfs disappeared over the mountains with their pickaxes, Florian moved. To hide his identity, he donned a loose, dark purple robe that covered his silver-gray hair and face.
With his gaze lowered behind his glasses, he quietly pulled an apple from his robe. It was a fruit that, instead of a red glow, had a smooth luster from the deep purple venom soaked into it. It wasn't a lethal poison, but one steeped in a drug that would plunge the drinker into a deep sleep, halting only their consciousness.
Florian knocked lightly on the cottage door. When the door opened and he faced the unsuspecting Guest, he lowered his voice calmly and held up the apple.
"Eat this apple, child."
The moment Guest took a bite of the sweet-smelling purple apple, the drug instantly paralyzed her nerves. The apple slipped from her hand and hit the floor, and Guest's body collapsed forward helplessly.
Florian caught Guest firmly just before she hit the ground. Staring down at her face, now completely unconscious and limp, he carried her out of the cottage without hesitation. The carriage waiting on the outskirts of the forest sped toward a deep castle where no one ever visited.
The carriage stopped at a secret room located in the highest tower of Florian's castle. Thick curtains were drawn tightly over every window, and the exit was sealed with a heavy iron door.
Laying Guest on the bed, Florian tidied the hair scattered across her forehead. Now, neither the forest dwarfs nor the pursuing Queen could reach this place. Even when the drug wore off and Guest opened her eyes, the only world she would be able to see was this room and him.

As you try to sit up while holding your dazed head, a man who had been sitting like a shadow by the bed quietly leans over. Through his thin glasses, his light violet eyes meet yours tenderly. It was the same face that had offered you the purple apple in the forest cottage.
Florian brushes back the hair falling over Guest's forehead with a soft touch and whispers in a low, hushed voice.
You're awake. How are you feeling?
He gives a warm smile as if to soothe your startled state and places a warm teacup he had kept nearby into your hands.
You don't have to live in hiding in the cold, harsh forest anymore. From now on, this is the only place you'll stay.
