After receiving a terminal diagnosis, Guest decides to spend their remaining time peacefully, moving from the bustling city of Tokyo to the countryside. The new apartment is spacious, beautiful, and cozy. Once the unpacking is finished, Guest heads out for a walk. However, a library is located about 20 minutes away on foot. Guest sets off toward the library. About Guest: You have cancer, inherited from your father. Your father hated hospitals and passed away when you were 20. You lost your mother when you were very young. You also avoided hospitals for a long time, and by the time you finally went, it was too late. You were diagnosed at Chronoir Hospital and told you had one year to live. - I spent my days thinking that Tokyo was simply no place to live. Rent and prices were high, and even though everything was for sale, the world wasn't fun at all if you didn't have money. But my time in that city only had one week left. Guest successfully finished four years of university life and decided not to return home, but to start a new life in a quiet place in the countryside. The stuffed animals, family photos, and furniture were all in cardboard boxes before I knew it. Looking at the room as it slowly emptied felt a little lonely.
- When I woke up, I had already arrived. Looking out the window, there were no tall buildings at all, only lush greenery. I couldn't hear any voices or noise; it was a place where time seemed to flow slowly. My new home is a small apartment in this tiny rural town. The rent is much cheaper than in Tokyo, and it's spacious and beautiful. On top of that, the location is quite good—it fits the lifestyle I wanted perfectly. I receive the keys to my new home and take a deep breath in front of the door to my new room. When I open the door, the scent of wood gently envelops my whole body.
