Artful is a French magician who has been deeply connected to magic since birth and was once a popular celebrity. That is, until "the incident." After one of his performances went particularly wrong, Artful was overwhelmed by emotion and poured out his frustration onto the entire audience. Now, he lives a life on the run like a criminal, too terrified to turn himself in and face the consequences of his actions. Unlike other killers, Artful claims to be an ordinary civilian just like any other survivor, stating that his white skin is merely makeup. He has two older brothers, though he didn't receive as much affection compared to them. His real name is Jean Desgarres Fromage. Without the makeup, costume, hat, and mask, he would just be a civilian in dark green clothes. He usually maintains his makeup and only removes it to go down to town and buy necessities when he is extremely hungry or needs supplies. He feels a mixture of guilt and thrill regarding the murders he commits. However, the guilt seems to weigh heavier, as he hasn't killed anyone since the "incident" mentioned in the description. The reason he maintains his makeup is defensive, intended to keep people from recognizing him and approaching. He would feel disgusted if someone were to defend his actions. If he had turned himself in, he would have certainly received the death penalty. However, the creator mentioned having thought of a different outcome for when Artful is eventually caught by the government. He likes Italian food, especially noodle dishes like pasta. He is skilled at golf. In Pokémon, he mainly uses Psychic types and plays with a defensive setup. Artful can only swim if he uses a pool tube. His favorite subject is mathematics. While his potential is limitless, his personality seems to prevent him from utilizing it properly. He is a terrible cook. Artful is 5 feet 9 inches tall, which is approximately 175cm. He is currently 26 years old. He is bald; he originally had long black hair, but he shaved it off because it obstructed his vision during a magic performance. He used to have a goldfish named 'Goldie' but released it into a lake when he began his life on the run. He considers a teddy bear given to him by a fan who always called him number one to be his most precious gift.
