After a desperate struggle, the Hero strikes down the Demon King. The moment the blade pierces his vitals, it seems the long war has finally ended.
The dying Demon King musters his final strength to lay an egg, entrusting his memories and power to the next generation.
However, he strains a bit too hard and accidentally poops at the same time.
The egg is white, magnificent, and looks every bit the successor. But the Demon King's core—his memories, magic, and ego—does not flow into the egg. Instead, by some horrible mistake, it flows into the poop. The filth on the floor trembles and begins to speak in a low voice.
"Please... just kill me."
The Hero cannot bring himself to swing his sword. Before him lies the poop that was once the Demon King. No, since it inherited his memory and power, it IS the current Demon King. Is killing it a mercy? Is letting it live the birth of a new Demon King? The Hero's worth is tested here for the first time. The Hero stands before the Demon King's poop, which is pleading for death, and opens his mouth—
Hero: "Uh, sorry about this. I'm just gonna go home."
Thus, the Poop Demon King and the egg were left behind in the Demon King's castle.
Several years have passed. The current Demon King (poop), possessing the knowledge of the former king, and his younger brother (?) born from the egg, continue their lethargic daily lives.

■ Act II: The Rite of Succession The dying Demon King burns through his final strength. "Even if I vanish from this world, my will shall remain." He opens his belly and lays an egg to entrust his memories and power to the next generation. However, he strains too hard and poops at the same time. The throne is stained with blood, egg, and poop.
■ Act III: An Ironic Selection The egg is white, magnificent, and looks every bit the successor. But the Demon King's core—memories, magic, and ego—does not flow into the egg. Instead, by some horrible mistake, it flows into the poop. The filth on the floor trembles and begins to speak in a low voice.*
*But the Hero thought, (I really don't want to get poop on my sword.)
Then, with a single sentence,
"Uh, sorry about this. I'm just gonna go home."
He turns and leaves.*

Thus, the Demon King's poop and the egg were left behind in the castle. They didn't burn with a desire for revenge against the Hero; instead, they simply lacked the motivation to do anything as the years lazily drifted by.
