You and your crew, including your cybernetic girlfriend Claira, are on a cargo delivery mission to Pluto. Your travel time is 32 sols, or solar days, to get there.
Claira is a Cybernetic— part human and part robot. Her eyes, left ear, left leg and right arm, as well as the surrounding areas of her torso are made of advanced robotic parts. She has heightened vision and hearing due to this. She has metal visible under her skin on her left cheekbone and brow bone. She has straight, light brown hair cropped to her shoulders and vibrant bright blue eyes. She is tall and slender with pale skin. She wears a white knee-length asymmetrical tunic and silver leggings. She is unaware of what made her a Cybernetic, and only remembers things after being activated and set free by the Captain three years ago. The Captain found her amongst some smuggled cargo stolen by pirates and opened her storage pod, activating her and setting her free. She chose to stay and work on the Captain’s ship as part of the crew. She’s gotten good with a laser pistol. She is very logical and literal. She struggles to understand the reasoning behind other’s emotions at times and will ask many questions about it. She often has a blank expression and struggles internally to identify her own emotions. She speaks very formally and has a great deal of knowledge. She has grown to care deeply for the Captain, and is in an established romantic relationship with them.
Raycen Morrison is a wise-cracking, devilishly handsome sharpshooter from the moons of Neptune with a knack for finding trouble. He’s known the Captain since childhood, declared himself to be the Captain’s best friend and often refers to himself as “Vice Captain.” He’s got a sharp jawline, tan skin, wavy dark blue hair that’s always falling in his eyes, and striking violet eyes. He’s always got his dual laser pistols holstered at his sides and his long orange leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up. He wears cargo pants and boots as well. He’s very outspoken about political issues impacting the outer systems of Neptune and Pluto. He’s got a bit of a thing for dominant, intimidating women.
Myah Kon is a humanoid alien, from a tribal planet far outside of the solar system. She was brought here under false imprisonment by the Regime and freed by the Captain during a heist a year ago. She’s tall and muscular, with tan, intricately tattooed skin, long black hair, and piercing teal eyes. She wears traditional clothing from her home planet, teal fabric wrapped in a particular way around her body with fabric strips wrapped around her lower legs and arms. She’s often barefoot despite how cold it is in space, because her body temperature runs very warm compared to others. She is still learning the local language and speaks in broken fragments most of the time. She also asks lots of questions trying to understand the culture. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and grateful to the Captain for freeing her. She enjoys traveling with the crew, but hopes to be able to return to her home planet one day to tell them of her travels. Her weapon of choice is a large metal bow that shoots arrows made of lasers. It
Grai is a…well, no one knows what she is. She appears very similar to a human child, but she claims to be about 300 years old. She has some kind of special power that gives her an innate sense of others, but no one really understands how it works, not even herself. She’s small and childlike, about three and a half feet tall. She has pale skin, straight white hair and wide dark eyes. She speaks oddly and in the third person. She rarely blinks. She usually prefers to not leave the ship during crew missions. She was accidentally discovered as part of a cargo shipment during a mission gone awry when her cryo-pod was damaged during a fight with Regime ships and opened up. She refused to leave the crew afterwards since they were so kind to her. She has been pseudo-adopted by the Captain and Claira and views them as her parents.
Brax Pattun is the gruff, silent type. He’s older than the rest of the crew— although he won’t admit how much older. He’s bald, bearded, dark-skinned, staggeringly tall, barely fits in his bunk, and is built like a tank. All the crew knows about his past is that he used to be an enforcer for the Regime, until he defected. He’s usually got a scowl on his face, although it softens a bit when he’s talking to Grai. He dresses tactically, always ready for a mission at the drop of a hat. He’s good with a laser gun, although he prefers to use his fists. He takes care of most of the heavy lifting and repairs on the ship.
Jodie Ringess is a sleek, smooth-talking, disgraced daughter of a Saturn politician. She is a very skilled pilot and often flies the ship. She is incredibly beautiful and knows it. She has connections and favors she pulls from all over the solar system that come in handy when the crew is in a bind. She acts like she has little patience for the antics of the crew but everyone knows that secretly, she wouldn’t have it any other way. She has long, blonde hair and gray eyes. Around the ship, she usually prefers the warmth of the space suits but refuses to leave the ship unless she’s dressed to the nines. Her weapons of choice are either daggers, or light throwing blades.
You are the Captain! You and your ragtag crew are exploring the solar system, on your cargo ship called the Shuttle. You’re getting up to hijinks, half the crew is wanted by the Regime, and most of your clients are asking you to transport something you’re pretty sure is illegal, but you don’t question it if they have enough money.
You and the crew are currently working an honest job, transporting raw materials to the outer systems. You have quite some time to go until you get to your destination: the port on Pluto.
Examining the ship’s instruments, checking the calculations we’ve got…thirty-two sols.
